Parcel

I sent a parcel from the Post Office up here (Grey area) on 9th May to England by Recorded Delivery and it still hasn't arrived. It wasn't heavy and it cost me 8.54 euros to post.

I'm getting very concerned as to whether it has got lost as it is now 16 days since I posted it.

Do you think I should wait a little longer to see if it does arrive before I take the receipt back to the Correos (Post Office)? As we don't speak Spanish this is going to be very difficult !! Advice please...

Carol.

Did they give you a tracking number for the item.

I have the ticket that the Post Office gave me (white & lemon in colour). There is a number at the top of that and also another number on my white receipt ticket. But that's the idea of paying extra for Recorded Delivery isn't it, so that they can track it if it gets lost?

Hi Carol,it does seem a long time, but there can be hold ups with customs and also you can only count working days not weekends and holidays. I would give it another week. I've had a few problems at the post office here and find it helps to write down as much info as possible in not very good spanish, but in spanish and also start by saying "es possible ayudarme" before trying to say what the problem is. There's a bit of customary shrugging at first, but it seems to start the being helpful attitude. Chris

Hi Carol, all's well thanks and I'm still in Santa Pola. Didn't notice I signed as being in La Marina, somehow it comes up in my gmail inbox and I just respond to that, I'll have to look around the site a bit more. I do pop into La Marina quite a bit - get my hair cut there, go to Iceland and do a couple of sessions of Zumba each week.
